Plumbing Coverage

Internal Plumbing System

When you suspect a hidden leak in your walls or floors, you call us — we cover the pressurized supply and drain lines inside your home.

Which plan covers this

Repairs to your internal plumbing system are covered only on the Whole Home Repair plan, for future failures after the waiting period and up to the plan's limits. The HVAC Maintenance plan ($19.99/mo) covers seasonal tune-ups, not repairs.

What is internal plumbing system coverage?

Internal plumbing system coverage focuses on the pressurized supply piping and drain lines inside the structure—the network between the meter or well entry and your fixtures. MyHappyHome™ membership covers repairs to those in-wall and under-floor paths when leaks or chronic stoppages threaten finishes and framing. This is the layer that causes the most expensive water damage when failures hide until stains appear.

When should you call for internal plumbing system help?

Call when the water bill jumps without a change in use, floors feel warm over a suspected hot-water leak, or drywall near supply runs shows damp spots. Call for hissing in walls after the house is quiet, or for pressure that collapses when two fixtures run. A slow internal leak can run for weeks; early detection under coverage beats waiting for mold remediation.

What usually fails?

Pin-hole leaks in aging copper, failed crimp fittings on PEX, and corroded galvanized remnants in older remodels are common supply failures. Drain stacks crack at joints, lose slope after settling, or clog until wastewater finds a wall cavity. Shutoff valves seize so you cannot isolate a room during a break. Expansion tanks and PRVs fail and hammer fittings until a joint opens. Those are in-home piping failures—not fixture chrome issues.
