Membership & Coverage

What is a pre-existing condition?

A pre-existing condition is a problem with a home system or appliance that already existed before repair coverage started, whether or not the homeowner knew about it. Home warranties and repair memberships generally exclude these conditions, which is why a newly purchased plan cannot pay for a breakdown that has already happened.

Why it matters to you

With MyHappyHome™, anything already broken when you join is not covered, including problems that were unknown at the time. If something has already failed, a local pro can still be arranged, and you pay for that repair directly.

Practical guidance

Keep repair receipts and notes on the age and condition of major equipment when you join. If a system is already struggling, fix it first and then rely on coverage for the next failure.
